Twice a day the conically shaped Cornish island of Saint Michael's Mount is cut off from the rest of England by the salty tides.. The sandy stretch in front of the isle is known as Marazion beach, while the town itself dates back hundreds of years.

The island is open from the 1 st of April to the 31 st of October. It's usually closed from the 1 st of November to the 31 st of March, but there are selected days it decides to open to the public. Daily entry is permitted between 9.30 am and 5 pm. While these times are currently accurate, they may change at any time.

The brave young man snuck over to St Michael's Mount, while the giant was sleeping, and dug a huge pit on the bottom of the hillside. Jack then blew loudly on his horn, loud enough to awaken the giant and enrage him. The giant stormed out of his sleeping chambers and out unto the hillside, where he was swallowed up by the hole in the ground.
